The Land issue and Kenyan politics

Listening to public debates and listening to public commentary i'm forced to unleash documented Kenyan history dating back the days in the Congo.....in the public debates, one phrase i find rather misconstrued and wrongly dated is "historical injustice". All Kenyan tribes speak of a birth-rite to land while historical evidence state that no human beings occupied Kenyan hinterland in the 10th Century.

The 21st Century Invasion of Africa by Europeans,Americans and Chinese

I note with concern that the population of Caucasians in Kenya has tremendously grown. They are all over the country under the pretense of VSO's and peace corps. Funny thing is they are not keen to leave but to stay long term. It is for this reason that the cost of living has shot up.

PREZZO BANNED FROM NIGERIA

Reacting to the sudden death of his wife, Goldie who died on Thursday evening, Andrew Harvey decided to share some of their wedding photos  Goldie’s childhood pictures and pictures of their best times together on his facebook page.

And then he countered a new report that surfaced online Late Friday where it was alleged that Goldie was into drugs and died of drugs.
He said “Goldie never used drugs in the past 10 years and I was as close as you could get”
Meanwhile, fans on facebook were taken surprise when they saw the wedding pictures, many of them did not believe that Goldie was married! – especially after her love drama with Prezzo, her Kenyan lover and housemate in the Big brother Africa Game 2012.
You will recall that Prezzo wrote a very emotional tribute on Friday in honour of the late singer. Media reports claim that he had planned to propose to Goldie on Valentine’s day…
Oh by the way, a close source and friend of Andrew Harvey reliably told us that “Andrew is really mad about Prezzo’s appearance and wants to show the world that he matters nowthat’s why he is posting the pictures
Aggrieved Andrew not only shared the intimate pictures on Facebook, but also on Goldie’s twitter handle, and even went as far as engaging with several curious fan, saying “For those who doubt the wedding go to ikoyi registry and ask for copy of certifcate No 1000/05″

In her biography,Goldie was born Susan Adebimpe Filani and she is from Ekiti state, She studied and lived in the UK for some years before she returned to Nigeria to focus on her music career. We would update you as more details unfold.

Of M.O.U's and why the Kenyan population has failed itself

Yes, i know, its been a while since i spewed rhetoric on this blog.....I have been busy trying to better myself though, i must admit, have not been blind to all political shenanigans which have been going around in my country, Kenya.

As i write, the presidential race for the 2013 presidential elections has already began and Kenyans have in the past two days been presented with "Stallions" vying for the race and all over sudden the population is placing their bets on which horse is going to win.

For the sake of the readers who are not conversant with the Kenyan political scene as at December 5th 2012, allow me to break it down for you...

Mwai kibaki, the third president of Kenya, is in the last trimester of his second and last presidential term which is bound to expire in Mid-2013.To succeed him are many politicians but for the sake of this post, i will only focus on three political alliances that are in the race for the Kibaki succession.

Kenya is a highly tribal country. Tribalism is deeply rooted within the borders of Kenya.Tribal stereotypes are regarded as jokes in Kenya.Indeed, the Kenyan comedy industry thrives on tribal jokes and stereotypes. Whenever you meet a Kenyan for a first time, and you are of African descent, then, they will in one way or another try to find out your second name so as to know your tribe, and consequently pass judgement on what type of person you might be, based on your tribe.....Sherioushly!!!!!!

In the last general elections Kenya almost went to the dogs, after ODM lost the elections to Mwai Kibaki's PNU. The main protagonists

The chicken comes back home to roost as Ocampo 6 head to the hague

It is rather unfortunate whatever is happening in Kenya. All of a sudden even the IDPs show apathy for the purported chief suspects of the 2007-2008 post election violence that rocked Kenya. The rhetoric of the day is that colonialists want to take over power. Our mainstream media(which always prides to have been part of the change in Kenya) has given all the limelight to the 6 suspects and putting in the periphery serious issues as the implementation of reforms proposed in Kenya's new constitution (August 2010).

Mutula Kilonzo, Kenya Minister for Justice and Constitution has remained level minded reminding everyone who listens that the President and the Prime Minister ought too have resigned when the local tribunal bill was rejected by parliament. This means that if we had set up a local tribunal then we wouldn't be facing these problems.

Uhuru and Ruto have declared that they will form a grand coalition upon their return from the Hague.I wonder what it will be called Ocampo Democratic Movement (ODM).....they seem to have shoved Kalonzo aside....I must confess that at this moment i don't understand Kenyan politics.GEMA and Kalenjin are speaking the same language.I dont know what to make of the situation...i feel bitter that the plight of the IDP has been ignored.....it is a shame that none of the people who were singing "No Raila No Peace" are on the list of suspects. The Slogan No Raila No Peace was the main cause of the chaos.

It is now clear that Kenya President Kibaki might perform dismally as compared to Mzee Moi - Kenya will be the first country to go to the streets to demand for "another" constitution

it is Valentines today...everybody avoided the color red lest they be branded shao.....it is today that i have confirmed, that all women want some "male-love" no matter their level of education or social class. It is also today that i can predict that Kibaki will leave a far much "poor Kenya" than ever before..

Kenya now has 47 counties and two hundred plus districts...the number of MPs is to go up to 300 once the boundaries commission submits its reports.nominal GDP is 30.2 billion US dollars.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_African_countries_by_GDP_(nominal)
..clearly not yet over 50B and here we are creating more redundant government structures, positions etc..

In the debate on schools....the government wants to establish 94 more national schools without considering what attributes makes a school national(need better gramma and more words).Teachers are on a mass exodus to Southern Sudan,Rwanda and a host of other nations due to poor pay.Yet here the government is in its final plans to create an extra 140 MPs each mp taking home kshs. 1M.Dont even think of what is going to happen on "county level".By 2020 the national burden on the Mwanachi...made worse by the ever existent ghost of inflation will make mwananchi put his shidas down and weka mikono juu and hit the streets in protest.Yes services must be made universal but we must be ready to control them in any case there is an overflow....o

on the political front, very sad news have just been released.....the government wants to settle IDPS (Gikuyus) in Taita Taveta. We have Taita's who are squatters in their own land....clashes zitakuwa serious in later elections..

Is this govt serious...??? Moi might have plundered the country but there were no IDPs in his time (not the numbers we have now)...how can a government be intimidated by secterian interests???If it was in Dan Ts days these IDPS could have returned home long ago.i don't know what to think of Kenya.....this is a country in which the speaker of the National assembly thinks he is president and has a pechant of putting the country in a political crisis in the name of "solomonic decisions"....NKT...maybe this is what being democratic means....the back stops with no one...but with the principals....NKT!!!its a free for all....Gor Mahia fans want to break all the rules when Gor plays but accuse Uhuru Kenyatta of impunity....What is Uhuru Kenyatta to do when intimidated by kogalo fans??Hata sisi watu wa mukurwe-ini united tunaka kuvunja sheria.....the future is gloomy

Kenya Gets a new constitution and the new slogans in the streets are :......"rebirth of the nation" and "The Second republic"

I must confess that i'm proud to be Kenyan.History was made yesterday (05/08/2010) when the citizens of Kenya unanimously and overwhelmingly endorsed - through the ballot- a new constitution dispensation that promises hope to the downtrodden majority.

Pundits argue that the draft constitution that was voted for this year was no different from the Kilifi alias wako draft that the then Kibaki's administration (as william Ruto likes saying).....tried pushing it down the throats of Kenyans.

Talking of william Ruto E.G.H. Mp.....this man despite his purpoted crimes is my role model.Just the other day, i learnt that mheshimiwa Ruto became a Minister when he was only 35 and that he had already made his first 100 million Kenyan shillings at this age.Ruto was the de-facto leader of those opposing the constitution and his flock included non other than the christian clergy and their sheep, the faithful.

If you don't know, then i want to inform you that Mr. Ruto is a very eloquent man.Very discreet, shrewd and all those character traits you can think of, that make one to be described as an intelligent man (as per Kenyatta University common Unit of critical thinkers definition).

So, Ruto appears on TV, and the first thing a journalist asks him is whether he concedes defeat and do you know what Ruto says......???....The majority (Yes/Green) had their way but the minority (No/Red)had their say....don't you just love this man.Enter Mzee Moi...and what are his comments on Kenya's landmark stride towards the future????......this new constitution will entrench tribalism.....

Talking of tribalism....I have come to recognise the fact that when Gikuyus and the Luos are singing the same political song (as one Kiraitu Murungi likes saying, then Kenya as a nation prospers.Indeed, in 2003 when the NARC party took over the ruins of KANU's Plunder, it felt so nice to be Kenyan. It also feels so nice to be Kenyan today now that President Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga are not suspicious of each other, or better still, are singing from the same hymnbook and for that matter the same hymn.

I have to comment on His excellency the vice president. It is not a secret that most Kamba's voted against the constitution. This to me was a major blow to Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka but also a lifeline.Someone in my local pub was saying that if kalonzo, Ruto and Deputy Premier Uhuru kenyatta, actualised the KKK aliance, then 2012 will be a walk in the park.I beg to differ...(to be continued when more ideas stram into me head)
